Zazenkai

“The buddhas’ great truth, when perfectly mastered, is liberation and is realization.” ~ Eihei Dogen, Zenki
“Continuous practice that actualizes itself is no other than your continuous practice right now. …your continuous practice of this day is a seed of all buddhas and the practice of all buddhas.” —Master Eihei Dogen

Zazenkai literally means “coming together for zazen” and consists of a daylong retreat devoted to practice, with Great Silence observed throughout the day. This is an opportunity to intensify and deepen practice and settle the mind in a supportive group setting through the experience of periods of uninterrupted meditation (zazen), walking meditation (kinhin), a dharma talk or seminar, and service.
Schedule:Please enter and/or leave only at the designated times:
Initial Entry: 8:25 -8:55, At other times, during Kinhin (See schedule),
After lunch (12:55 – 1:00)
If you arrive before or after scheduled entry times, please practice zazen in the Zoom waiting room until you receive entry.
This is a silent retreat, so, with the exception of fellowship time before the official start of the retreat (8:55 A.M.) please refrain from talking. Greet and /or acknowledge your fellow participants with a simple gassho.
